An SUV driving the wrong way on Eastbound Route 32 in Howard County crashed into a Greyhound bus early this morning. The fatal collision happened just past I-95 in the Savage area. The driver of the SUV was killed on sight.
“There were 38 passengers on the bus, 17 of them were transported for check-ups for varying degrees of non-serious injuries,” Sherry Llewellyn with Howard County Police told WMAL News.
The bus driver was transported to shock trauma as a precautionary measure.
“Fortunately it looks like [the bus driver] is just fine,” Llewellyn told WMAL.
Eastbound Route 32 was closed for hours as police tried to figure out what happened. It has reopened while the investigation is still underway.
