Head of Disinformation Governance Board Resigns as DHS Pauses Operations

By WMAL.com

After just one week since the Biden Administration announced the formation of their Disinformation Governance Board, the Department of Homeland Security, which oversaw the board, announced it was suspending operations. Following the announcement that the board would be put on hold, Nina Jankowicz, the woman tapped to head the board, formally resigned from her post.

The disinformation board, which was quickly dubbed the “Ministry of Truth” by advocates of free speech, became a focal point of criticism and marks yet another failed attempt by the left to censor conservative voices. The failure of the Department of Homeland Security’s ability to provide an adequate scope of what information the board would be censoring ultimately led to its demise. The Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was forthcoming about why the disinformation board failed, saying “[we] could have done a better job of communicating what it is and what it isn’t.”

The woman charged with leading the board Nina Jankowicz was also quickly exposed as what many referred to as a “partisan hack” with a career resume of supporting leftist organizations and decrying conservative voices online.

The pause of the disinformation board marks yet another failure by the Biden Administration to garner public support for the implementation of their radical agenda.
