Zuckerberg Announces Midterm Election Contribution Plan

By WMAL.com

In a stunning turn of events following the 2020 elections when Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg poured money in to key swing state election operations, the tech CEO announced that he would not be donating any funds to similar causes this election cycle. Zuckerberg faced harsh backlash for his massive donations to impact the last election.

A spokesperson for Zuckerberg and his wide Priscilla Chan said the power couple “are not donating for something like this, ever again,” according to a report for the Washington Times.

In 2020, Zuckerberg donated nearly $400 million to support election administrations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those critical of tech mogul say that these contributions were aimed at securing democrat voters in key swing states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Republican Governors Kristi Noem (SD) and Tate Reeves (MS) have already signed into law legislation that bars Zuckerberg from providing funds to support election operations in their states.
