Capitol Police apprehended the trouble-making fox on Tuesday after several reports were filed of residents being bitten or attacked by the animal.
- What Capitol Police are saying: “This isn’t about service,” he said. “It isn’t about citizens. This is just about having power over a police chief rather than having a sheriff that answers directly to the citizens we serve,” was tweeted from the Capitol Police account at 12:50 on Tuesday. The tweet was followed up by a Tweet at 3:36pm, “#BREAKING: Captured.”
- WMAL spoke with a Capitol Hill staffer who reported an increase in fox sightings in the area and believed that the fox captured was not alone. The staffer also told WMAL that there are rumors that the animals are creating dens around the area.
