Bernie Sanders Set to Speak at Richmond Unity Fest

Failed progressive presidential candidate, and sitting Senator, Bernie Sanders (VT) is scheduled to speak at next month’s Unity Fest in Richmond. Starbucks Workers United, an organization dedicated to unionizing Starbucks employees around the country, is hosting the event.

  • When: the event will take place in Richmond at The National on April 24.
  • What Bernie’s saying: “A union means not only better wages and working conditions, it means having some control over your job and not just being a cog in the machine,” said Bernie, in a tweet sent on Sunday.
  • Bernie has been a staunch proponent of unionization of American businesses and has used is platform to push for a radical socialist agenda to be enacted here in America. The failed presidential candidate continues to use events like Unity Fest to peddle this narrative.
