Nick Bell, former Deputy Director at the Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives at the Department of Education during the Trump Administration, joined O’Connor & Company on Monday to discuss the failure of some Republicans to fulfill pro-life campaign promises.
- Youngkin disappoints: many conservatives were dismayed to see Governor Youngkin’s day-one agenda did not included any items related to the restriction of abortions in the Commonwealth.
- Campaign promises: Youngkin delivered a strong pro-life message while campaigning for governors, promising pro-life advocates that he would be overturn the pro-abortion policies of his predecessor.
- Virginia GOP Speaker Todd Gilbert: “You didn’t hear our caucus running on those things… We’re going to stay focused on the things we believe the majority of Virginians want us to focus on.”
