The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is scheduled to announce eased guidelines for facial mask coverings. Under the new guidelines it is expected that the majority of people will no longer need to wear mask coverings indoors.
- Under the current guidelines, residents in an approximated 95 percent of counties in the US were recommended to wear masks.
- The new guidelines are expected to drastically reduce this number following decreased hospitalization and infections.
- The new guidelines are expected to be released today.
