FBI Releases New Video Of Suspects Wanted For Assaulting Federal Officers At Capitol

WASHINGTON – The FBI’s Washington Field Office released two new videos on Wednesday of suspects who allegedly assaulted federal officers during the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals in the videos.

In one of the new videos, a suspect is shown attempting to rip off an officer’s gas mask. The suspect also picked up a tactical baton and struck officers with it. The videos also show a different suspect who according to the FBI, punched officers while wearing gloves with metal knuckles.

According to a press release, the FBI has arrested more than 425 people who took part in the Capitol riots. The FBI said nearly 90 people were arrested for assaulting law enforcement officers.

The FBI is asking people with information on these individuals to visit tips.fbi.gov or call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
