WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump “is doing very well” and in good spirits according to his physician, Dr. Sean Conley.
“At this time the team and I are extremely happy with the progress the president has made,” Conley said Saturday afternoon outside Walter Reed where the president has been since Friday night after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Conley says he had a mild cough, nasal congestion and fatigue Thursday, but all of those symptoms are improving. President Trump has not had a fever in more than 24 hours.
The doctors say the president has not needed any supplementary oxygen and has had no problems breathing. They don’t think he will need oxygen. Conley says the first 7 to 10 days are the most critical. The president is getting multidisciplinary care including Remdesivir and Regeneron.
The president told doctors he felt like he could walk out of the hospital Saturday, but Conley would not say when the president may leave Walter Reed.
