Frederick County Sets Up Six Drop Box Locations For Mail-In Ballots And Applications

WASHINGTON- Frederick County has announced that there will be six drop box locations in the area for voters to use ahead of the November general election.

According to a press release from the county, voters will be able to return their mail-in ballots or ballot applications at these six locations:

-Frederick County Board of Elections Office, 340A Montevue Lane, Frederick. Right of front door

-Governor Thomas Johnson High School, 1501 N. Market Street, Frederick. Outside main gym entrance

-Catoctin High School, 14745 Sabillasville Road, Thurmont. Front entrance

-Urbana Regional Library, 9020 Amelung Street, Frederick. Rear entrance

-Middletown VFD Activities Center, 1 Fireman’s Lane, Middletown. Rear entrance

-Brunswick Middle School, 301 Cummings Drive, Brunswick. Front entrance

For those who plan on using the boxes, the county is asking voters to make sure their ballots are securely placed in the drop boxes by the close of the polls at 8 p.m. on election day.

The release also mentions that election staff will collect the ballot applications daily to process them.

Voters should be aware that mail-in ballot applications must be received by Tuesday, October 20, 2020. All ballots must also be postmarked by election day, November 3, 2020.
