Dr. Simone Loses Her Job After Promoting Hydroxychloroquine (The SF News)

Dr. Simone Gold, a board certified emergency physician who appeared in the hydroxychloroquine viral video and led “America’s Frontline Doctors,” lost her job, according to a report by Fox News on July 30.

Dr. Simone, 54, graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine Science, The Chicago Medical School in 1989. She has worked in Emergency Rooms across Los Angeles, treating Covid-19 patients since the pandemic outbreak. She is currently registered with Providence Hospital located at 501 South Buena Vista Street in Burbank. [Read More]

New York AG Moves to Dissolve the National Rifle Association (Free Beacon)

New York attorney general Letitia James (D.) called for the dissolution of the National Rifle Association in the wake of accusations of self-dealing and financial impropriety by the organization.

James announced Thursday that she is filing suit against the gun-rights group, which is chartered in New York, as well as four of its executives—including executive vice president Wayne LaPierre. She accused the executives of spending NRA money on personal expenses such as clothing, private flights, vacations, and contracts for family members.  Fairfax County Flooded With Erroneous Absentee Ballot Applications (DCist)

Fairfax County election officials rushed to reassure voters Thursday after a D.C. non-profit organization mailed residents nearly half a million absentee ballot applications with the wrong return address on them.

“Some [voters] think it’s a scam, some of them think it’s an attempt at voter suppression, when in reality it’s just a third-party group trying to do a mailing and they didn’t do a very good followup,” said Gary Scott, director of elections for Fairfax County. [Read More]
