- Minneapolis Third Precinct police station set on fire after rioters break in The Third Precinct police station in Minneapolis was set ablaze Thursday night as violent protests continued in the city — and other cities across the U.S. — following Monday’s death of George Floyd, a black man who died while in police custody.
- In response, more than 500 members of the National Guard were heading to the Twin Cities region, called in by Gov. Tim Walz, the Star Tribune of Minneapolis reported.
- Rioters broke into the precinct around 10 p.m. local time, after police on the rooftop previously tried to disperse a gathering crowd using “flash bang” shots and tear gas, according to reports. The rioters entered the building and sparked the fire after police officers on the roof were rescued by helicopter, reports said. A short time later, city officials warned the rioters that the risk of an explosion existed at the site because of unconfirmed reports that gas lines may have been cut, FOX 9 of the Twin Cities reported. https://www.foxnews.com/us/minneapolis-third-precinct-police-station-set-on-fire-after-rioters-break-in

- Tim Kaine tests positive for coronavirus antibodies Sen. Tim Kaine announced Thursday that he and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus antibodies. In a statement, the Virginia Democrat and former vice presidential hopeful explained that after testing positive for the flu, he continued to experience symptoms. In April, both Kaine, and his wife, Anne, were told they could have mild cases of coronavirus, but were not tested because of a shortage in testing. The symptoms went away in mid-April, he said. “We each tested positive for coronavirus antibodies this month,” Kaine said. “There is still too much uncertainty over what protection antibodies may actually provide. So we will keep following CDC guidelines — hand-washing, mask wearing, social distancing. We encourage others to do so as well.”
- Father Says Son Didn’t Die From Coronavirus But His Suicide Occurred Because Of It A father told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Thursday that his son may not have died because he was infected with the coronavirus, but his suicide was a result of the self-isolation the disease caused. Speaking of the “months of lockdown” that have been the official response to the coronavirus across America, Fox News host Tucker Carlson said, “As of tonight, one-third of all Americans show signs of depression or anxiety or both — [and] they are dying in unprecedented numbers.” “Unfortunately no one understands that as a well as a Brad Hunstable does … and it’s hard to even say this but he just lost his son Hayden who was locked down as well. “Tucker, 41 days ago, right above my head, my young 12-year-old boy, three days before his 13th birthday, took his life. Hayden was a normal kid, he wasn’t depressed, he loved athletics. I created a video that has since gone viral and I said he died of the COVID virus. He didn’t die of the virus but he died certainly because of the COVID virus,” Hunstable said.

6E – Kansas soldier saves ‘countless lives’ by driving truck into active shooter: reports
An active duty soldier in Kansas was credited with saving “countless lives” this week when drove his truck into an active shooter on a bridge. Master Sgt. David Royer was on a phone call with his fiancee Wednesday morning while stuck in traffic on the Centennial Bridge near Forth Leavenworth when he saw a man ahead of him pull a rifle out of his vehicle and start shooting, FOX 4 of Kansas City reported. The incident was initially reported as road rage but as police interviewed witnesses they realized what had really happened, the station reported. “There was an active-duty soldier assigned to Ft. Leavenworth waiting in traffic behind the event, saw the event unfold, determined it was an active shooter and intervened by striking the shooter with his vehicle, causing him to be critically injured, ending the encounter with the active shooter and likely saving countless lives,” Leavenworth Police Chief Patrick Kitchens told FOX 4.
6F – Jamie Foxx defends Jimmy Fallon over ‘SNL’ blackface controversy: ‘This one is a stretch’ Jamie Foxx stuck up for Jimmy Fallon after the “Tonight Show” host received immense backlash over a resurfaced video of him appearing in blackface on “SNL” 20 years ago. Fallon responded to the controversy after a sketch from 2000 in which he appeared in blackface to perform an impression of Chris Rock resurfaced on Twitter. Things got so bad that the hashtag “#JimmyFallonIsOverParty” was briefly trending on the social media platform. Foxx, however, disagreed with the host’s decision to apologize for the sketch. He responded in the comments of an E! News Instagram post on the matter to defend Fallon and comedians at large for pushing racial boundaries. “He was doing an impression of chris rock. It wasn’t black face. We comedians I know it’s a tough time right now. But this one is a stretch,” he wrote. “On a show called in living color we played every race Let this one go. We got bigger fish to fry … #changecourse.” The star was referencing the 1990 sketch show, “In Living Color,” which ran for five seasons and often contained controversial sketches about race.

7B/C – CHINA NEWS:
- U.S. to Expel Chinese Graduate Students With Ties to China’s Military Schools. The Trump administration plans to cancel the visas of thousands of Chinese graduate students and researchers in the United States who have direct ties to universities affiliated with the People’s Liberation Army, according to American officials with knowledge of the discussions. The plan would be the first designed to bar the access of a category of Chinese students, who, over all, form the single largest foreign student population in the United States.[…] American officials who defend the visa cancellation said the ties to the Chinese military at those schools go far deeper than mere campus recruiting. Instead, in many cases, the Chinese government plays a role in selecting which students from the schools with ties to the military can study abroad, one official said. In some cases, students who are allowed to go overseas are expected to collect information as a condition of having their tuition paid, the official said, declining to reveal specific intelligence on the matter. Officials did not provide the list of affected schools, but the People’s Liberation Army has ties to military institutions and defense research schools, as well as to seven more traditional universities, many of them prestigious colleges in China with well-funded science and technology programs. The F.B.I. and the Justice Department have long viewed the military-affiliated schools as a particular problem, believing military officials train some of the graduates in basic espionage techniques and compel them to gather and transmit information to Chinese officers.
- ANOTHER DAILY CALLER EXCLUSIVE: US Joins G7’s ‘Global Partnership’ Against China’s Abuse Of Artificial Intelligence. The United States joined the other G7 nations in launching an “international initiative” Thursday aimed at countering the authoritarian abuse of artificial intelligence, specifically by the Communist Party of China. White House chief technology officer Michael Kratsios, is leading the United States’ involvement in the Global Partnership on A.I. (GPAI). He joined technology officers from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom on a Thursday video conference to discuss how the G7 nations and other countries across the globe can advance A.I. innovation in a way that respects Western values, civil liberties and human rights. A senior Trump administration official who was briefed on the details of the call told the Daily Caller that each country will next nominate experts from within the industry — including nonprofits and academics — to serve on GPAI, where they will inform international A.I. policy on hot button issues like bias, trustworthiness, security, workforce development and commercialization. The U.S. is expected to
