SHOW RUNDOWN:

5AM HOUR:

5A- CHINA and CORONAVIRUS NEWS:

5D/E – DR FAUCI VS DAVE PORTNOY

  • After once calling the lockdowns ‘inconvenient,’ Fauci now says they may cause ‘irreparable damage’ Dr. Anthony Fauci on Friday admitted frankly that the rolling state lockdowns which he has advocated for multiple weeks could cause “irreparable damage” to the United States, a sharp distinction from his earlier claim that the shutdowns were merely “inconvenient.” The White House adviser made the statement during an interview on CNBC on Friday morning. “We can’t stay locked down for such a considerable period of time that you might do irreparable damage and have unintended consequences, including consequences for health,” he said. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” he added.
  • Dave Portnoy (President of Barstool Sports) responds to Fauci “Fauci, I just did a rant that went viral, literally like last week, because you’re like, ‘If we open up the country everyone is gonna f—–g die,’ I’m paraphrasing but that’s like that he said,” Portnoy said. “Now… the wind blows, and he’s like ‘OK, no no we can’t stay in forever.’ What is it Fauci? Pick a f—–g side. Or at least say you don’t know what the f–k you’re talking about.” Last week, Portnoy’s rant stressed that small business owners shouldn’t have to start over because of coronavirus-related shutdowns and guidelines.Portnoy said Friday his “whole point” is that nobody has any idea what they’re talking about when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic.

6AM HOUR:

6A/B/C BIDEN NEWS:

  • Former Vice President Joe Biden walked back his Friday morning comments suggesting that black supporters of President Donald Trump “ain’t black.” “Perhaps I was much too cavalier,” Biden said during a phone call to the Black Chamber of Commerce, according to NBC News correspondent Mike Memoli. “I know the comments have come off like I was taking the African American vote for granted. But nothing could be further from the truth.” “I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy,” Biden continued, referring to his comments as “unfortunate,” Memoli reported. “No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background.” He said he is “prepared” to put his record against that of President Donald Trump.

  • “My overall takeaway from the conversation is that I heard him talk about things he did for black people back in the day but what have you done for me lately is my motto,” Charlamagne explained to CNN’s Erin Burnett. “I see Black communities catching hell no matter who is in the White House.”

    • Joy Reid and Charlamagne on Dems banking on Black vote:“I mean, I know that’s the attitude,” Charlamagne replied. “I mean that’s why I don’t even care about the words and the lip service and the apology is cool, but the best apology is actually a Black agenda. They got to make some real policy commitments to Black people.” Charlamagne went on to argue that the repercussions of systemic racism greatly impacted the percentage of black Americans on welfare and affected disproportionately by unemployment, homelessness, drug addiction, and even the coronavirus pandemic.

  • Donna Brazile’s reaction to Biden: “I believe that Joe Biden was incorrect in saying the statement ‘you ain’t black,’ but I also believe that his apology was sufficient.” Brazile then pivoted to point out the disproportionate number of black Americans who had been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, adding, “I would rather spend more time talking about these — the disparities that we have seen that have been amplified during this pandemic than speaking about Joe Biden and his record of blackness.”

  • A U.S Senate candidate from Michigan is calling out former Vice President Joe Biden for suggesting that black Trump supporters weren’t authentically black, arguing that Biden was “embarrassing” himself and “condescending” to descendants of slaves. “Vice President Biden, with all due respect, your latest comments are both pathetic and hurtful,” businessman and candidate John James said in a video he posted to Twitter Friday.

6D- INTERVIEW – Manassas City Councilman IAN LOVEJOY (Manassas, Virginia)

  • PHOTOS: Virginia Governor Ralph Northam was seen having a great time on the beach not social distancing and not wearing a mask this weekend.  Manassas City Councilman Ian Lovejoy posted a Facebook post of photos of Northam this weekend and called him out for his beach hypocrisy while Northam keeps Manassas small businesses from opening.  Lovejoy’s post has over 3,000 shares on Facebook.

6E- NYT MEMORIAL DAY ARTICLE

  • On Sunday, The New York Times Editorial Board published the piece titled “Why Does the U.S. Military Celebrate White Supremacy?” The editorial made the argument that it’s time to rename military bases after “American heroes, not racist traitors. The New York Times editorial board wrote that “the federal government embraced pillars of the white supremacist movement when it named military bases in the South.”

7AM HOUR:

7A/B/C- INTERVIEW – JOE DIGENOVA – legal analyst and former U.S. Attorney to the District of Columbia

7DINTERVIEW – OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND MAYOR RICK MEEHAN

7E – TRUMP DECLARES HOUSES OF WORSHIP ESSENTIAL

  • President Trump on Friday announced that new Centers for Disease Control guidance will classify houses of worship as “essential,” as he called on governors to allow them to open “right now” after being closed during the coronavirus lockdowns.

8AM HOUR:

8A — Interview – JEFF DOVE – Army veteran, congressional candidate challenging Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D) in the 10th Congressional District in Virginia

8B/C- JONAH GOLDBERG SLAMS KAYLEIGH MCENANY

  • Chris Wallace was actually first to take a shot at the new press secretary, referencing a Friday briefing during which McEnany had laid out the questions she believed the press should be asking. “I have to say that if Kayleigh McEnany had told Sam Donaldson and me what questions we should ask, that would not have gone well, Jonah,” Wallace said.“I think her behavior is indefensible and grotesque,” Goldberg replied. “I think that what she has done is — there’s this cliche in Washington that President Trump wants Roy Cohn as DOJ, as attorney general. What Donald Trump wants in a press secretary is a Twitter troll who goes on attack, doesn’t actually care about doing the job they have and instead wants to impress really an audience of one and make another part of official Washington another one of these essentially cable news and Twitter laboratory arenas.”

8D — INTERVIEW – MATT WHITAKER – Former Acting Attorney General and author of new book: “Above the Law: The Inside Story of How the Justice Department Tried to Subvert President Trump”

  • Fmr. Acting AG Matt Whitaker says FBI launching review of Michael Flynn probe was ‘obviously a good move’ https://www.foxnews.com/media/matt-whitaker-fbi-review-flynn-investigation
  • ABOUT THE BOOK: After more than two years, the Department of Justice has dropped the charges against former national security adviser Michael Flynn. But just how much time is being wasted by DOJ insiders trying to frame anyone who might align with President Trump as a criminal? An expert on public service, Former Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker came to D.C. and unknowingly put himself in a targeted position, standing in the way of the most blatant attempt to oust a president in United States history. Matt Whitaker can discuss the investigation of Michael Flynn, which, unfortunately, is not the only attempt by DOJ members to pursue unnecessary investigations into anyone who allies with President Trump.
  • Above the Law: The Inside Story of How the Justice Department Tried to Subvert President Trump depicts the all-too-common actions of Deep State members at the DOJ who aim to subvert President Trump and his allies instead of providing public service to the American people.
