WASHINGTON – Kelsey Swann of Middletown, Maryland, has spent the last month at sea on a cruise ship as its crew looks for a place to dock.
On March 20, the cruise ship initially let its passengers off in Sydney, Australia. Out of concern for coronavirus, the ship’s staff agreed to self-quarantine on board for two weeks.
The goal was to make sure no one could spread the virus if they had it.
However, with most countries having closed their borders due to coronavirus, the crew later realized there was nowhere they could dock to let staff off the ship.
They remain at sea waiting for their first opportunity to dock.
In order to pass the time, Swann has started making music. She did a cover of “When Will My Life Begin” from Disney’s “Tangled” and uploaded it to YouTube.
