Trump Is Right: Economic Shutdown Will Result in Deadly Health Crisis, Scientists Say (Townhall)
On March 24, President Trump expressed an intense desire to begin the process of loosening restrictions in some portions of our country so that the American economy can slowly begin to emerge from the government-imposed shutdown of most commerce.
“We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself,” he tweeted. “At the end of the 15 day period, we will make a decision as to which way we want to go!” [Read More]

THE BILL FOR GLOBALISM HAS ARRIVED (Ann Coulter)
When the after-action report on the current pandemic is being prepared, I’m going to ask the guy with the notepad to write down: “China” and “globalists.”
Those words won’t be on Trump’s list. He can’t stop gushing about how much he respects China and the American companies that have outsourced jobs there. Even as China withholds vital medical supplies, he refuses to end our suicidal dependence on them.
His one slight annoyance with China is that it lied about the Wuhan virus, allowing the disease to explode across the globe. [Read More]
March Saw the Biggest Gun Sales on Record (Townhall)
March saw the biggest gun sales on record. And with many states and local governments shutting down gun stores in March, there were clearly many people who wanted guns but couldn’t get them. The true demand for guns was undoubtedly even much higher.
The 2.3 million background checks completed during March were 29 percent higher than the busiest month in 2016, the previous yearly high, when people were fearful that Hillary Clinton’s election would lead to gun bans. [Read More]
This morning, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler hosted an interactive telephone call with U.S. retailers and third-party marketplace platforms to discuss imposter disinfectant products and those that falsely claim to be effective against the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19. Through tips, complaints, and research, the agency is learning of the availability of such products marketed with unsubstantiated and potentially dangerous claims of protection against the coronavirus and has enlisted the help of the retail community to prevent these products from coming to market. It is now about survival in America (The Hill)
The choice we face as a nation in this crisis is not between protecting our citizens or protecting the economy. Our ability to take care of each other with food, clothing, housing, security, health care, and basic government services is dependent on the capacity of the private sector to produce the goods and services that support every aspect of our lives. If our economy collapses, our heroic health care workers and their patients will be stuck behind in the Middle Ages, without the essentials of modern medicine. [Read More]
Chart: No, America’s Coronavirus Trajectory is Not ‘The Worst in the World,’ As Claimed (Townhall)
For days, many prominent Americans — primarily on the Left — have been sharing context-free graphs purporting to show how the United States is in the worst shape on any country on earth, as it pertains to Coronavirus. As I’ve mentioned before, such sophistry has relied on using raw numbers, rather than adjusting for population, as well as taking China’s statistics at face value [Read More]
Dear Governor Hogan,
We write with great concern regarding a recent request by some of our Democratic colleagues to remove
firearm stores from the list of essential businesses permitted to stay open during the COVID-19 public
health crisis. We ask that you continue to comply with the federal guidance that allows these businesses
to remain open.
As you are aware, the federal guidance issued on March 28, 2020 states “Functioning critical
infrastructure is imperative during the response to the COVID-19 emergency for both public health and
safety as well as community well-being.” In the “Law Enforcement, Public Safety, and Other First
Responders” section, the guidance lists “workers supporting the operation of firearm or ammunition
product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges.” [Read More]
