‘Gosnell’ abortion movie to be screened at White House (Washington Examiner)
In his latest sign of support for the pro-life movement, the White House is planning to show the movie about Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, dubbed “America’s biggest serial killer.”
“Gosnell,” the biggest-ever crowdfunded movie, is set to be screened Friday, according to the producers of the PG-13 movie about Gosnell’s X-rated practice.
“It’s sending a very powerful message,” said a note from the team behind the book and movie about the abortionist convicted of murdering three infants born alive during botched abortions and convicted to serve life in prison. [Read More]
Byron York: Barr is right, spying on Trump campaign did occur (Washington Examiner)
Democrats and some in the media expressed shock and outrage when Attorney General William Barr said Wednesday that “spying did occur” on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.
Barr “must retract his statement immediately or produce specific evidence to back it up,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said. “Perpetuating conspiracy theories is beneath the office of the attorney general.”
Barr has gone “off the rails,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. [Read More]
Residents surprised, upset after teen drug rehab center buys three McLean homes (WUSA 9)
The McLean community was surprised by the purchase of three luxury homes now being converted into a high-priced teen drug rehab center. Concerned about safety and traffic, neighbors are now trying to stop the center from receiving a state license to operate.
“It all was done under the radar and all of a sudden the bomb dropped and we’ve all been scrambling ever since,” said Sue King who lives behind the three luxury homes. They are secluded on a pipe-stem driveway off of Davidson Road, a block away from McLean High School. [Read More]
Comey: “I’ve Never Thought” Of Electronic Surveillance As Spying (RCP)
Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday he never believed that electronic surveillance as “spying.”
“With respect to Barr’s comments, I really don’t know what he’s talking about when he talks about spying on the campaign,” Comey said. “It’s very concerning because the FBI, the Department of Justice conduct court-ordered electronic surveillance. I have never thought of that as spying.” [Read More]

President Trump responded to reports Friday that his administration proposed releasing immigrant detainees in sanctuary cities by not only confirming the plan but saying it remains under “strong” consideration.
