Obama intel chiefs in crosshairs after Mueller clears Trump (The Washington Times)

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s finding that there was no Trump campaign conspiracy with Russia to steal the 2016 election has unleashed a tsunami of outrage toward Obama-era intelligence chiefs, particularly former CIA Director John O. Brennan and former FBI Director James B. Comey, who are accused of pushing the allegation during congressional hearings, in social media posts and in highly charged interviews on television over the past two years.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper also leveled up highly publicized comments that President Trump could even be an “asset” of Russian President Vladimir Putin, part of a slew of remarks that critics say went far beyond the usual partisan sniping that can accompany a change of administrations. Comey wrong to see obstruction in firing: Ken Starr (FOX News)

Ken Starr, former independent counsel to President Bill Clinton, insists that former FBI director James Comey was wrong to say in an NBC interview that his firing was “potentially obstruction of justice.”

“It is so ill-conceived that one could think that firing James Comey somehow ended the investigation. It launched the investigation,” Starr told “The Story with Martha MacCallum” on Wednesday. [Read More]

The first steps to honor our Vietnam veterans (Prince William Times)

As part of the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017, March 29 was designated as National Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day; veterans groups across the country are conducting events to honor those who served in Vietnam.

Goodbye George: GW students vote to ‘remove and replace’ mascot (Campus Reform)

The George Washington University student body voted Thursday to “remove and replace” its mascot, the George the Colonial.

According to the GWU Joint Elections Commission, 54 percent of students who voted in this spring’s Student Association elections supported the removal of the Colonial as the school’s mascot. It was not immediately clear what students plan to replace the Colonial mascot with or even if school administrators will act on the results of the referendum. [Read More]
