Supreme Court to decide if World War I memorial ‘Peace Cross’ can stand (FOX News)
The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments next week on whether the World War I Bladensburg, Maryland memorial, known as the “Peace Cross,” should survive or be torn down in what could be a landmark First Amendment case that could impact memorials across the country.
In 2014, atheists filed a lawsuit claiming the memorial’s design violates the First Amendment, is “offensive,” and should be altered, moved, or destroyed. The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the cross violates the Establishment clause in the Constitution, which prohibits the government establishment of religion. [Read More]
Sen. Kamala Harris’s Jamaican father has vigorously disavowed his daughter’s comments regarding marijuana, accusing her of fraudulently stereotyping Jamaicans and pursuing “identity politics.”
The senator said in a radio interview last week that she supports marijuana legalization and has smoked weed herself, citing her ethnicity to buttress her boast: “Half my family’s from Jamaica. Are you kidding me?”

Feds: Coast Guard officer arrested after guns, compiled hit list of lawmakers found (WJLA)
A Coast Guard lieutenant who was arrested last week is a “domestic terrorist” who drafted an email discussing biological attacks and had what appeared to be a hit list that included prominent Democrats and media figures, prosecutors said in court papers.
Christopher Paul Hasson is due to appear Thursday in federal court in Maryland after his arrest on gun and drug offenses, but prosecutors say those charges are the “proverbial tip of the iceberg.” [Read More]

I had a column in the New York Post yesterday morning about the so-called “ISIS bride,” Hoda Muthana, who is detained in a Syrian refugee camp and now pleading to come back home to her family in Alabama. I argued that, despite the fact that she has treasonously waged war against our country, she had a right to be readmitted if she tried to enter because she was — according to the facts available at the time — a natural-born American citizen.
