5am – E NELLIE OHR INVESTIGATED TRUMP’S KIDS: Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, told Congress in October that she investigated President Donald Trump’s children on behalf of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm behind the Steele dossier. Ohr also testified that during a meeting in July 2016, Christopher Steele passed her husband materials from his infamous dossier.
6am – A/B/C PUSHBACK AGAINST ‘INFANTICIDE’ ALLEGATIONS – Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam is pushing back against Republican accusations that he supports infanticide following backlash over his comments on a controversial new state abortion bill … “Republicans in Virginia and across the country are trying to play politics with women’s health, and that is exactly why these decisions belong between a woman and her physician — not legislators, most of whom are men,” Northam spokeswoman Ofirah Yheskel said in a statement. Northam appeared on a Washington radio station to discuss the Repeal Act, which seeks to repeal restrictions on third-trimester abortions. Virginia Democratic Del. Kathy Tran, one of the sponsors, sparked outrage from conservatives when she confirmed at a hearing that a woman about to give birth could still request an abortion under the new bill. When asked about Tran’s comments, Northam, a former pediatric neurologist, said that third-trimester abortions are done in extreme cases where a fetus may be severely deformed or “not viable’ with the consent of the mother and often multiple physicians. “So in this particular example if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he said. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
The intent of Northam’s comments was not clear. But some conservative commentators and lawmakers believed he was discussing the possibility of letting a newborn die and was possibly endorsing “infanticide.”
The proposed legislation in Virginia follows New York passing a bill last week loosening restrictions on abortion. New Mexico, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington state also have passed new laws expanding abortion access or moved to strip old laws from the books that limit abortions.
- Trump Rips Virginia Democrats’ Abortion Comments. POTUS slams Northam/Tran comments on VA abortion bill “I thought it was terrible…Do you remember when I said Hillary Clinton was willing to rip the baby out of the womb? That’s what it is, that’s what they’re doing, it’s terrible”
- In an interview this morning, VA Democratic Governor Ralph Northam couldn’t answer whether he supported abortion until birth. Virginia Governor Asked Whether He Supports Abortion While Woman Is Giving Birth. His Response Is Bizarre: Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam couldn’t precisely answer whether he supports abortion until birth and suggested an infant could be born and then the mother and doctor could discuss what should happen next, in a Wednesday morning interview. “If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam said in a WTOP interview. Aborting a baby after it has been born is illegal.

I thought that was the American dream, the aspiration of America. You’re going to criticize me for — for being successful when in my company over the last 30 years, the only company in America that gave comprehensive health insurance, equity in the form of stock options, and free college tuition? And Elizabeth Warren wants to criticize me for being successful?”

- Pennsylvania admits to 11,000 non-citizens registered to vote
- State Reveals More Than 11,000 Illegal Registered Voters; Lawmaker Says There Are Likely Even More. There are more than 11,000 foreign noncitizens illegally registered to vote in Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State. That information was demanded through legal action by Butler County lawmaker Daryl Metcalfe. But in a statement Tuesday, Metcalfe- who is a state representative overseeing the 12th district- said he expects the real number of ineligible voters to be even higher than 11,000. “Approximately 11,198 illegally registered to vote foreign nationals were confirmed when the Pennsylvania Department of State and the Wolf administration finally decided to withdraw its obstructive appeal against disclosing this information in December 2018,” Metcalfe said in a statement released Tuesday. “However, since Pennsylvania’s most progressive and least transparent governor lacks the desire to take any substantive action to get non-citizens off our voting rolls, even a figure as significant as 11,198 is far from full disclosure.”

- CBN News interview with WH Press Secretary Sarah Sanders. “I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that he wanted Donald Trump to become president.“
- OMAR: ‘I ALMOST CHUCKLE’ WHEN ISRAEL IS CALLED ‘A DEMOCRACY’ / Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar said she “almost chuckle[s]” when Israel is labeled a “democracy” during an interview with Yahoo! News’s Zainab Salbi posted on social media Tuesday. “How can America work to a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians in your opinion?” Salbi asked. Omar responded, “By having an equal approach to dealing with both. Most of the things that have been aggravating to me is that we have had a policy that makes one superior to the other. And we mask it with a conversation about justice and a two-state solution. When you have policies that clearly prioritize one over the other.” Salbi asked for a specific example. “I mean just our relationship with the Israeli government and the Israeli state. And so when I see Israel institute laws that recognize it as a Jewish state and does not recognize the other religions that are living in it,” the congresswoman answered. She continued, “And we still uphold it as a democracy in the Middle East I almost chuckle because I know that if we see that any other society we would criticize it, call it out. We do that to Iran, we do that to any other place that sort of upholds its religion. And I see that now happening with Saudi Arabia and so I am aggravated, truly, in those contradictions.”
7am – E PELOSI TO GRAMMYS AMID BORDER NEGOTIATIONS
- Ronna McDaniel Slams Pelosi for Hobnobbing at Grammys Instead of Protecting Americans from Illegal Aliens. Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for trekking out to Hollywood for the Grammys rather than staying in Washington to do her job as speaker of the House and negotiating an immigration deal that funds President Donald Trump’s planned wall along the S. border with Mexico. “Nancy Pelosi couldn’t care less about the security and humanitarian crisis at the border,” McDaniel said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News. “One American life lost at the hands of the criminals and lethal drugs that have poured across our border is one too many. If she cared half as much about their lives as she does about celebrities in Beverly Hills, she’d do her job and negotiate a way to secure our border like she promised.” Page Six of the New York Post reported that Pelosi is among the guests expected at the annual Clive Davis pre-Grammys gala at the Beverly Hilton.

Rand Paul awarded $580,000 in damages in lawsuit against his neighbor, who assaulted the senator and broke several of his ribs in Nov. 2017, the AP reports. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Wednesday was awarded more than $500,000 in damages stemming from an attack by his neighbor, The Associated Press reports. Paul’s neighbor Rene Boucher attacked the senator in 2017, breaking several of his ribs. The conflict started when Paul was doing yard work. Boucher said he was angered by the senator repeatedly putting debris near his house. As a result of the injury, Paul later had to have surgery on a hernia. The jury awarded $375,000 in punitive damages, $200,000 for pain and suffering and $7,834 for medical expenses, according to the AP. Boucher’s lawyer, Matt Baker, says they will appeal, per AP.
