WASHINGTON (WMAL) – A woman found murdered outside a Rockville Church was killed by her own son according to Montgomery County Police. They’ve arrested 21-year-old Kevin McGuigan and charged him with murder for allegedly stabbing his mother Jaclyn McGuigan to death outside the Saint Raphael Catholic Church and School on Dunster Road Friday night.
Police were called to the area around 6 p.m. Friday for reports of an assault.
They found Jacyln outside the church suffering from trauma to her upper body. She died shortly after officers arrived.
Witnesses at the scene said they saw Justin standing over his mother as she lay on the ground in front of the church screaming.
Police found the woman’s car about an hour later at Fallsgrove Park. Some of Justin’s belongings were inside of it. Police determined Justin stole his mother’s car and used it as a getaway vehicle.
They caught up with him Saturday morning at a gas station in Rockville and arrested him.
