WASHINGTON (WMAL) A teenager’s disturbing discovery at a Fairfax County Mall landed an Alexandria man in jail.

While she was trying on clothes at a forever 21 in Fair Oaks Mall Monday, the teenager noticed what looked like a camera or a cell phone pointing down from the dressing room wall. She thought it was taking pictures of her and called Fairfax County Police.

A store employee described a man seen leaving the dressing room to police. They found 39-year-old Mumtaz Rauf in a dressing room at an H&M clothing store in the mall. Police do not know his immigration status.

Rauf had a pinhole camera, bluetooth transmitter and black tape with him. He’s charged with unlawful filming of a minor.

Police believe there may be other victims and are asking people who think they may have been filmed by Rauf to contact them at 703-591-0966.
