School principal issues apology after students say Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish (FOX 5 DC)
A Fairfax County high school principal is apologizing after a plan to have students say the Pledge of Allegiance in different languages was not well-received.
A parent tells FOX 5 the program was canceled just a couple days after it started.

Ex-FBI Director James Comey claimed he “always” respects subpoenas days after he said he would “resist” a subpoena for a closed-door deposition before Congress.
“I always respect subpoenas,” Comey said in an interview with Boston public radio station WGBH. “I would never just ignore a subpoena. If I were going to respond in some way, I would respond legally. I wouldn’t just blow it off.”
Last week House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., issued subpoenas last week to Comey and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch to come before a task force for private depositions in December as part of their joint investigation into decisions made by the Justice Department in 2016 and 2017. Manafort, Assange held secret talks in Ecuadorian Embassy: Report (The Washington Times)
Paul Manafort and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange held private discussions inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, including during the time Mr. Manafort was a member of then-candidate Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, according to a report Tuesday.
Manafort and Mr. Assange met multiple times prior to the election, including as early as 2013 and as late as spring of 2016, according to The Guardian, a British newspaper.
It is not clear why Manafort and Mr. Assange met or what was discussed, The Guardian reported. Both have come under scrutiny from special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. [Read More]

Top House Committee Investigating Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey For Lying To Congress (The Federalist)
A top House committee that oversees the U.S. telecommunications industry is now investigating Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for lying to Congress during a hearing about Twitter’s controversial history of arbitrarily censoring content published by the site, an aide for the House Energy and Commerce committee told The Federalist.
“The committee is aware of Twitter’s actions and is currently reviewing Mr. Dorsey’s testimony,” the aide said after Twitter suddenly banned Jesse Kelly, a Marine combat veteran, writer, and popular radio talk show host, without explanation. [Read More]
