Online dating study measures who’s ‘out of your league’ (WJLA)
Scientists set out to measure what scientifically constitutes someone to be ‘out of your league,’ finding that white men and Asian woman ranked highest for desirability.
Both men and women also message people who are on average 25 percent more desirable than them, according to the studypublished in an online journal.
Scientists analyzed heterosexual dating markets using a popular, free online dating service in Seattle, Boston, Chicago and New York – defining desirability by the number of messages someone receives, including the desirability of the people sending those messages. President Trump announced in a lengthy speech at the White House on Thursday afternoon that, in response to what he called the “crisis at our southern border” and a surge of fraudulent asylum claims, his administration will require asylum-seekers to “lawfully present themselves” at a port of entry.
The move appeared designed to prevent many members of the leading Central American migrant caravan — which now numbers approximately 4,000, down from a high of 7,200 — to make asylum claims if and when they reach the U.S. border.
