A certain class of never Trump-harumphers are leading the charge on behalf of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s memory-addled partisan accuser Christine Blasey Ford — who cannot recall the year she was allegedly traumatized, where it happened, who threw the party that paralyzed her for nearly four decades, how many were in attendance during her claimed assault, how she got there or how she left.
No matter! NBA: Mark Cuban didn’t pay enough attention to Mavericks’ business culture (ESPN)
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has agreed to contribute $10 million to women’s organizations but will not face any other punishment stemming from what NBA commissioner Adam Silver called “disturbing and heartbreaking” allegations of harassment and violence toward female employees within the organization, the league announced Wednesday.
The NBA launched an investigation seven months ago following a Sports Illustrated report in February which described “a corporate culture rife with misogyny and predatory sexual behavior” that spanned decades in the Mavericks’ organization, including numerous allegations against former CEO and president Terdema Ussery, who left the Mavericks in 2015. ICYMI: The Hill: RNC Surpasses $250 Million in Fundraising for Midterms (GOP)
“The Republican National Committee (RNC) has raised more than $250 million this cycle, hitting another fundraising record with less than two months to go until the pivotal midterm elections.
“An RNC official told The Hill that the committee will report $16.4 million raised in August, which is the RNC’s largest monthly haul of the cycle. That brings the national party’s total fundraising to $252 million as of Wednesday.
“The RNC ends the month of August with nearly $42 million in the bank, surpassing how much the national party had on hand at this point in the 2016 presidential cycle. [Read More]
