Dwight Perry, 35, got into an argument with his girlfriend and stabbed her in the lower back according to a statement released by the police. Perry then took his two children, a 9-year-old son and 18-month-old daughter, and fled in his vehicle. He later dropped one of the children at a day care center and the other at a family member’s house.
After the Amber Alert was sent out, Perry surrendered at a fire station in Prince George’s County and provided the locations of the two children.
Both were determined to be safe and unharmed.
He is currently being held without bond.
