Fairfax Detectives Seeking Public’s Help In Identifying Graffiti Found Near Suspicious Death Scene

WASHINGTON (WMAL) – Fairfax County Police Department Detectives are seeking the public’s help Thursday in identifying graffiti found near the location of a suspicious death scene, according to a media release.

Detectives are still investigating the suspicious death of 26-year-old James McDonald of Cantilly, whose body was found in the wooded area behind the 6100 block of Union Village Drive.

“His body was discovered, it had upper body trauma to it. There’s still a pending autopsy that we’re waiting to get the results from the medical examiner on,” said Sgt. Aaron Pfeiff.

McDonald’s family reported him missing on May 19 after a family member last saw him on May 15.

The graffiti found in the area near where McDonald’s body was recovered depicted roses, a broken heart and “R.I.P sucker” with the word “alone” underlined.

Sgt. Pfeiff encourages that any one with information in regards to the graffiti or the investigation should contact Detective J. Vickery at 703-246-2856.
