GREENBELT, MD — Fire crews from Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties worked to put out flames at Glenn Dale Crossing in Greenbelt. That’s located between Hubble Dr. and Aerospace Rd.
The first started in a unit that was under construction, according to Prince George’s County Fire Department Spokesman Mark Brady. The flames spread to a second row of town homes under construction, and a row of homes that were occupied. Residents were able to get out safely.

Brady says the homes were being built with sprinkler systems, but the units had not been turned on yet. He says a “considerable” amount of lumber also burned at the scene.
