LOS ANGELES — (WMAL) Josh Norman says he has absolutely no dance experience, but you couldn’t tell by watching the Redskins cornerback on the season premiere of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’
Norman and professional dance partner Sharna Burgess shook their hips in a riveting cha cha, wearing matching sparkly burgundy outfits on a stage set with maroon and gold lighting and a huge “24” – Norman’s uniform number – as a backdrop.
The star corner showed no fear on stage, starting the number by leaping over Burgess’ head, and showing deft footwork as he twirled her across the floor.
The judges were impressed.
:”I thought that was bright and breezy, free and easy – full of rhythm and style,” said Head Judge Len Goodman. “You’re just another one of a long list of footballers that can dance. Well done!”
Judge Bruno Tonioli praised Norman’s sex appeal.
“Josh! Where do you come from? Star quality… charisma… sex appeal. You’ve got it by the truckload!”
The latest season of ‘Dancing’ is an all-athletes affair. Norman’s score of 24 placed him in a tie for second with Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, one point behind Week One leader, Olympic skater Mirai Nagasu.
