HANOVER, Md. (WMAL) — A brawl at Arundel Mills Mall on Sunday led to the arrests of two individuals, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Police officers responded to the mall for a call for service in reference to a fight in the food court involving 20 people, an AACPD arrest report stated. Upon arrival, officers observed mall security personnel had one male suspect, later identified as Rashdee Mumuni in custody at the front entrance. He was observed to be screaming, yelling, and had no shirt on while using racial slurs toward one of the security officers.
Another suspect, later identified as Nykeisha Jones, was also in custody inside the mall.
A victim, who was a Burger King crew member, stated he was with other witnesses when Mumuni picked up a chair and threatened to hit him with it. Another witness stated that Jones was upset over a food purchase at Burger King and began to cause a disturbance because of it, the report stated.
Mumuni was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and was released at the scene. Jones could not provide any identification and was transported to the Western District Station where she was charged with two counts of second degree assault and one count of disorderly conduct.
