WASHINGTON (WMAL) — The Redskins have announced they have acquired quarterback Kevin Hogan on Friday from the Cleveland Browns.
The McLean, Virginia native will be entering his third season after being selected in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs before joining the Browns that September, according to the Redskins website.
During his time with the Browns, Hogan played eight games with four starts, throwing for 621 yards with four touchdowns to seven interceptions.
During the 2017 season, he appeared in three of the first five games for the Browns. He earned his first career start after completing 20-of-37 passes for 140 yards with one touchdown to three interceptions in week six against the Houston Texans, the website stated.
Hogan attended Gonzaga College H.S. in Washington, D.C. where he completed 4,762 passing yards and 37 touchdowns in three seasons.
