WASHINGTON – (WMAL) A Maryland man was arrested Wednesday in Baltimore County and charged with sexual abuse and other crimes against children after Maryland State Police said they found thousands of pictures of child pornography and videos in a storage locker he used to rent.
The charges against 55-year-old Glenn Ranger, who recently moved to Dundalk from Severn, stem from an investigation that began in late March of 2018 after a man told Easton Police he found what he thought was child pornography in a storage locker he bought at auction.
Members of the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force got a search warrant for the storage locker and found child pornography pictures and videos inside.
“On some of these VHS videos, they found tapes of a female and a male, both underage, being sexually abused by the same suspect,” said state police spokesperson Greg Shipley.
The boy was between 6 and 8-years-old, and police are now trying to identify him according to Shipley.
The girl has been identified. Police believe Ranger started abusing her when she was around 16 and continued for six to eight years after that.
Shipley said they are now looking into whether there are more victims.
Investigators think Ranger filmed the assaults with a camera hidden his bedroom when he lived in Anne Arundel County.
Ranger is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center. on charges including second degree rape, sexual abuse of a minor, production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
