During the interview, Miller discussed the headlines in the news about California:
O’Connor: I used to live in California you had Republican Gov. Schwarzenegger, you had Gov. Wilson, you had Gov. Deukmejian, LA had Mayor Riordan, it’s not like California so long ago was so completely from left field. What has happened? Or is there this voice, that voice just isn’t heard anymore?
Miller: If it’s heard, it’s intimidated. I’ll be honest with you Larry, I think there is a better chance of this state becoming part of Mexico again than it is becoming conservative. It’s that simple. Now some people are happy with it, some people aren’t. I think the people that are happy with that play it a little mean and rough with the people who just disagree. It seems like a very disagreeable position that people can take different stances on.
