Package explodes at FedEx facility in Schertz, Texas (NBC News)
A package exploded at a FedEx distribution center near San Antonio early Tuesday, just two days after a blast injured two men in Austin — the fourth such incident in Texas’ capital this month.
Tuesday’s explosion occurred around 12:25 a.m. local time in the sorting area of the Schertz, Texas, FedEx facility, officials said.
No one was hurt, although one employee standing near the explosion was treated and released after complaining of ringing in her ears, Schertz chief of police Michael Hansen said.
The package “had been traveling along the automated conveyer when it had exploded,” Hansen said during a press conference on Tuesday morning. “We were very fortunate that there were no injuries.” [Read More]
