Investigators have identified the teen they say was shot and killed after opening fire, striking two other students at Great Mills High School in Southern Maryland Tuesday morning.
St. Mary’s County Sheriff Tim Cameron said 17-year-old Austin Wyatt Rollins was fatally shot after a school resource officer responded. Rollins died at around 10:40 a.m. at the hospital, police say.
Sheriff Cameron said that the incident began around 8 a.m., just before class started. He said Rollins, who attended the school, used a Glock semiautomatic handgun to open fire at a 14-year-old male and a 16-year-old female student in the school hallway. [Read More]
