Rockville, MD. — Thursday night, a 49-year-old Rockville man was pronounced dead at a local area hospital after rear-ending a stopped bus and suffering life threatening injuries.
According to Montgomery County Police, Fire and Rescue, Dumas Kantar, of the 5200 block of Russett Road, hit the rear-end of a stopped, Ride On bus on the eastbound side of Norbeck Road in his Honda Element at about 8 PM.
MCFRS Public Information Officer Pete Piringer and Montgomery County Police reported live updates of causalities and shifted traffic patterns as the event developed throughout the night:

The driver and three passengers were also taken to local area hospitals to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
