UPDATE 3/7/2018 (WMAL) – A day after a threat made to a local school left a community on edge, police arrested the person they say made the threat. A 14-year-old was arrested after Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said he made a grave threat against Crossland High School in Temple Hills Tuesday.
“These sort of events are more harmful because it tends to erode our belief that this could happen to us. We can be lulled into a false sense of security thinking that it’s just another false threat,” Stawinski said in a video posted on Twitter Wednesday morning.
The chief urged anyone who has concerns should reach out to them.
