BRANDYWINE, MD — A Prince George’s County police officer was shot and killed Wednesday morning in an incident that began with the officer being shot in the Brandywine area, and the suspect being shot after a police chase in the Fort Washington area. Corporal Mujahid Ramzziddin, a 14 year veteran of the force was assigned to the Special Operations Division, Harbor Unit.

Police say Corporal Ramzziddin, was off-duty at the time, and came to the aid of a neighbor.

The officer was shot in the area of Chadds Ford Drive and Chadsey Lane. A police chase ensued, and ended with the suspect’s death near the intersection of Rt. 210 and Old Fort Road in Fort Washington.
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is asking for flags to be at half staff in honor of Corporal Ramzziddin.
