ANNAPOLIS, MD – Five Maryland women have been charged with stealing more than $100,000 of retail merchandise in an alleged theft ring.
The Baltimore Sun reports the state Attorney General’s office announced the charges in a statement Wednesday.
Twenty-three-year-old Tyrayah Shonita Graham, 39-year-old Donna Leurine Moye, 54-year-old Lisa Marie Williams, 21-year-old Lyric Taj McLaughlin and 19-year-old Tiara Kianna Baker were charged with conspiracy to commit a theft scheme with a value of $100,000 or more. Moye and Williams were also charged with possessing and selling counterfeit goods.
The newspaper quotes prosecutors as saying the women would enter stores together, put display merchandise into large bags and leave without paying. They say the theft ring operated in Baltimore, Harford, Anne Arundel, Charles and Montgomery counties.
It’s unclear if the women have attorneys.
