WASHINGTON (WMAL) — ABC has fired celebrity chef Mario Batali, according to a statement released on The Chew’s Facebook page.

Batali had been accused of sexual misconduct. His firing comes after an investigation by ABC.

In a statement to the Associated Press earlier this week, Batali said the complaints match up with his past behavior.
