WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Visitors to the National Zoo will not be able to see Bei Bei today.

The panda house is closed as the Zoo’s veterinarians took an “extra precaution” and performed an exam on Bei Bei.

The National Zoo said in a statement that the panda just got over a bout of abdominal troubles over the weekend, and started losing interest in going outside and eating yesterday.

In an update, the Zoo said that the exam went well and visitors will be able to see Bei Bei inside the panda house tomorrow.

Today, “visitors can see Mei Xiang and Tian Tian in their outdoor yards,” said the Zoo.
