Alexandria Police Investigating Murder-Suicide

Alexandria, Va. (WMAL) — Police are now calling the shooting that occurred at All Veterans Park yesterday a murder-suicide.

Two teenagers were shot. One, a 17 year old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, a 15 year old male, was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition.

The suspect, identified by police as Yerson Nunez Lopez, was also found dead at the scene with self-inflicted injuries.

Police say that the 19-year old suspect knew the victims, but they are still investigating. They ask anyone with any information to please contact the Alexandria Police.
