5am – D         Police: Suspect in 6 shootings in Maryland, Delaware, caught.  (CNN) A suspect in shootings in Maryland and Delaware on Wednesday that left three people dead and three others injured was caught in Delaware after a manhunt, authorities said. Radee Labeeb Prince, 37, is accused of killing three people and wounding two others at his job in Maryland on Wednesday morning. Police say he shot a sixth person about two hours later at a Wilmington, Delaware, car dealership. In the late afternoon, authorities zeroed in on the suspected gunman’s vehicle — a 2008 black GMC Acadia SUV — about 15 miles from the scene of the second shooting. A tipster saw Prince leave the SUV and walk toward Glasgow High School in Newark, Delaware, said Wilmington Police Chief Robert Tracy.

Authorities set up a perimeter and later learned the suspected gunman was walking nearby. About 11 hours later, the manhunt ended when three agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives caught Prince around 7:05 p.m., not far from the high school, after a brief foot chase, Tracy said.

• Obama rally with Northam set for Thursday night at Greater Richmond Convention Center. Former President Barack Obama’s rally on Thursday evening with Ralph Northam, the Democratic nominee for governor, is set for the Richmond Convention Center. The campaign said Thursday’s rally will be free and open to the public. Northam’s campaign announced Tuesday night that a limited number of tickets to the rally will be made available to the general public at 10 a.m. Wednesday. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Richmond Coliseum Ticket Office at the 5th Street entrance, 601 E. Leigh St. Earlier Tuesday tickets were made available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who had pre-registered for the event at Northam’s campaign website.
• NEW POLL SHOWS GILLESPIE LEADING NORTHAM: Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie took the lead over Democrat candidate Ralph Northam, according to a new poll from Monmouth University released on Tuesday. A new poll from Monmouth University revealed that Virginians favor Ed Gillespie over Ralph Northam. The latest survey stated that if the vote were held today, 48 percent would vote for Ed Gillespie, while 47 percent would vote for Ralph Northam. This poll represents an upswing in support for Ed Gillespie. A survey released earlier in October had Ed Gillespie five points behind Ralph Northam, well within the poll’s 5.5 percent margin of error.
• Ralph Northam campaign defends deleting black running mate from campaign literature. Ralph Northam, Virginia’s Democratic nominee for governor, deleted his black running mate from his campaign fliers. His campaign says that’s not a big deal. Northam, the sitting lieutenant governor, removed a picture of Justin Fairfax on palm cards at the request of a labor union that supports him but opposes the lieutenant governor candidate.
