INTERVIEW – GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE — Former governor of Arkansas, father of the great White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and new host of show on TBN

• New TBN show “Huckabee” – premieres October 7th — his first guest will be PRESIDENT TRUMP: Mike Huckabee to Host New Talk Program on TBN. Former Arkansas Governor, presidential candidate, and longtime television news commentator Mike Huckabee is launching his own talk show for the second time. Huckabee will host an eponymous new weekly news and talk show on the faith-and-family Trinity Broadcasting Network which will premiere this fall. Huckabee will be taped in front of a live studio audience in Nashville, and will combine his current affairs commentary, along with guests from the worlds of entertainment, politics and faith. The format will be similar to that of his Saturday prime time program which aired on Fox News from Sept. 2008 – Jan. 2015, and was generally FNC’s most-watched weekend program during its run. Gov. Huckabee is widely known as one of the most outspoken Christian politicians on cable news, so a program on TBN seems to make sense.

Besides the fact the evidence now lends credence to Trump’s much-ridiculed statement that the Obama administration had wiretapped him, Huckabee says the circumstances should be alarming to every American. “Why did they engage in that wiretap?” Huckabee asked during Fox News’ “Outnumbered” program. “This is frightening. If your government can just decide that it’s going to tap into your phones because you played a political role that somebody in the government didn’t want you to play, I’m sorry, that scares the bejeebies out of me,” Huckabee continued.
