WASHINGTON (WMAL)– Montgomery County Police say the body of Laura Wallen has been located in a wooded area near Prices Distillery Road in Damascus. Her boyfriend, Tyler Tessier has been arrested and charged in her death.
The Montgomery County State’s Attorney will decide if Tessier will also be charged in the death of her unborn baby.
Police Chief Tom Manger says Tessier was the last known person to be with Wallen. They were seen on surveillance video at a grocery store near her home in Olney on September 2nd.
Manger says it’s believed she was killed the next day.
Police say text messages sent to Wallen’s sister from Laura’s phone on September 4th are believed to have been sent by Tessier.
Manger says Tessier is believed to have been living in three locations and had another girlfriend in Damascus. Manger says she has been interviewed.
The investigation is continuing.
