RICHMOND (WMAL) — Governor Terry McAuliffe took to twitter on Labor Day to announce that his family had gotten a new dog:

McAullife’s previous dog, also a yellow Labrador, had died August 2nd of this year.
The dog’s passing had elicited several expressions of sympathy, notably from Maryland Governor Larry Hogan:
