Listen as Larry spoke with Curt Schilling, former MLB pitcher and host of Breitbart’s Whatever It Takes, regarding ESPN’s decision to pull Robert Lee from a broadcast.
During the interview, Schilling reflected on his experience at ESPN:
O’Connor: You did work for ESPN, you had your own politically correct run-ins with them and they removed you from the air. I mean this is what I love about you Curt you don’t pull punches, I mean name some names here who is…
Schilling: Well when you think about John Wildhack and Skipper and all the guys that make the big decisions, those are the guys, you know, that reached out to me when things ended as if…they almost were like trying to talk me through teaching me a lesson.
O’Connor: Oh, that this was going to be a teachable moment for Curt Schilling.
Schilling: Right and my response was, you know, a teachable moment comes in a situation and environment where somebody you respect can teach you something. These people, their lack of self-awareness is mind boggling to me. I mean they’ve gone full left since I left. And somebody mentioned this, and I thought it was kind of weird, somebody mentioned this and I thought about it, this downfall, I think I was the first domino to truly fall. You know, when this happened a slew of things happened afterwards and they’ve been happening ever since and every single thing that they are known for or that they’ve been outed for has been an extreme motivation to push a liberal agenda. I mean I said it when I came up, Stephen A. Smith is one of the most racist people in sports. And me comparing Islamic extremists to Germans was some how racist to Nazis.
