LISTEN: Breitbart Texas Editor-in-Chief BRANDON DARBY: The State Department Policy Creates a Climate for Human Trafficking Tragedies

Listen as Larry spoke with Brandon Darby, Breitbart Texas’ Editor-in-Chief, regarding the details surrounding the human trafficking operation in San Antonio, Texas.

During the interview, Darby addressed the true issue behind the human trafficking crisis:

Darby: Really, what we have to do is we have to get serious. Our President promised a war on Mexican cartels and he has not delivered that. He’s instead chosen to do a war on MS-13 which is an el Salvadorian gang, it’s not a trans-national criminal cartel, these are the foot soldiers for the cartel. And the reason that is is because our State Department in Mexico controls how U.S. law enforcement officers in Mexico actually go after, who they go after and who they don’t go after. It’s not a DHS decision, it’s not an FBI decision, it’s not a DEA decision, it’s a decision that’s done by the State Department through a program called INL, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Effort [Affairs]. And what we often see is that the State Department consistently tells U.S. law enforcement agencies that they need to balance their law enforcement priorities with the State Department’s diplomatic concerns. So when you have a nation like Mexico with a current Mexican president who largely put into office by funds from the Juarez Cartel where the person who ran his campaign was in fact a surrogate for the Los Zetas cartel and you have this level of corruption in Mexico there’s no easy way to address it, there’s no easy way to secure our border, there’s no easy way to go after these cartels without also going after Mexico’s top leaders and that’s where the catch is. That’s the unhappy truth that nobody really wants to look at is that Mexico has become a failed Narco-state.
