Palo Alto, CA — (WMAL) Katie Ledecky is doing her best to cheer up fellow athlete Bryce Harper as rumors swirl that he could be suspended from upcoming Washington Nationals games.
Ledecky tweeted to Harper after his fight on the mound Monday, “If you end up suspended come on down to Palo Alto and hang out at the pool for a day!”

Ledecky, a Bethesda native, spent time with Harper at the Nationals Park in August to throw her ceremonial first pitch and show off her medals to the baseball player.
Harper even wore a Ledecky swimming cap during the Nationals’ celebration last season after winning the National League East title.
Ledecky, who just finished her freshman year at Stanford, is preparing for the U.S. Championships in Indianapolis in June.
