Listen as Larry spoke with Former Congressman Dennis Kucinich regarding the deep state fighting against Trump.
Former Congressman Kucinich expressed his disapproval for information being leaked about the Trump administration:
O’Connor: Does it disturb you that this entire affair a special prosecutor now named to investigate the President, democrats calling for impeachment. All of this stems from anonymous leaks. No one’s name has been on them, none of this has been proven but, it’s all anonymous leaks coming from what’s being called the deep state.
Kucinich: It’s very dangerous for America. I mean, we have to remember our first commitment is this country. No matter who the President is. We cannot let our country be undermined by forces from within who refuse to be identified, who won’t surface with a name or a face, who are the anonymous and unknown, yet want to use information in a way that changes the events of our nation. I mean, that’s just wrong. It’s not American and it needs to be challenged and that’s why I’m speaking out.
O’Connor: I think it’s important to point out, politically, you are probably further than Donald Trump, and those who voted for him, on most issues – maybe except for trade than anyone I could think of.
Kucinich: You know, that’s true. You know we haven’t agreed on education, on healthcare, on the bombing of Syria and the use of the MOAB. There are a whole range of issues but this goes deeper. This is about America. This is the nature of our country. And if we let the pillars of our country be shaken by anonymous sources whose only intention it is to bring the President down, we’ve got to be really careful. People who don’t like Donald Trump could give a second thought to what happens if he is knocked out by these leakers inside the CIA or the FBI – who have their own intentions, who don’t care about America and are only interested in their own power. That’s a problem. That’s not what America should be about.
