WALDORF, MD — Two people were killed in what law enforcement officials say was a domestic shooting incident Thursday evening.
Deputies from the Charles County Sheriff’s office were called to a townhouse on Westdale Court at around 8:15 pm, and found four people with gunshot wounds. A little girl and a man were already dead. A gun was found near the man’s body.
A teenage girl and a woman were flown to a hospital in critical condition.
Diane Richardson, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, told the Washington Post it is believed the man shot the victims before taking his own life.
“We’re looking into the possibility that he. . . indeed, was the gunman in this case,” Richardson said.
A neighbor told the newspaper that the man and woman were marrtied to each other and that the teen and toddler girls were their daughters.
Police have not yet identified the victims.
